Reflection
We spent the end of the 2019 season reflecting and setting goals for the 2020 season. Our driver Brian Smith finished 2nd overall in the Street FWD Category of the Canadian Sports Compact Series (CSCS) and we knew that we wanted to capitalize on that momentum. With the increased support from our sponsors and as our vision for the team grew we knew that we planned to explore as many different events as possible.
The 2020 season has not gone particularly to plan. As you are all well aware Covid-19 has altered all of our lives in one way or another. If you are new to Easthood than you may not know that we spend most of our competition season in Canada with a sprinkling of USA based events in the mix as well. Due to Covid-19 we quickly learned that our plans on coming back to CSCS with a vengeance and aiming for the top spot and exploring the events at Ontario Time Attack were through.
You may be thinking, well where is the success? So far it sounds like everything that you've had planned won't come to fruition. The season is a dud and you're stuck in the States due to COVID restrictions and a closed border. While this is absolutely true, we were given something that we didn't really know we needed; TIME.
Unexpected Success
While it may feel like things are falling apart around us we've learned that if you take the time to focus on what you can control you may surprise yourself with the results.
Over the last few months, we've had time to reflect on our resources, relationships, goals.
What do we want for the future? How can we get there?
A passion for our team is not only to go as fast as possible but to also educate and get as many people as possible involved in the world of motorsport. We want to build a larger team that can represent us across the United States and Canada.
We've had a lot of time to brainstorm new ideas and collaborate with our sponsors to come up with exciting new opportunities for our EHR Community. While we can't give away all of our secrets just yet, trust us when we say we have a lot of things planned for us as a team and for the world of motorsports.
